The posts publishing option helps you manager your content's Web site by allowing you to control the status of the content.
When you navigate to Posts on the control bar, Graffiti displays the Post Published in All Categories page.
Along the top of the page are 5 tabs: Published, Draft, Pending Review, Requires Changed, and Deleted. These tabs reflect the publishing status options Graffiti supports when you write a post. The publishing status option is available on the post Settings tab.
The publish status feature allows you to control the content published on your web page and determine when a piece of content is ready for public viewing. The following table describes the publish status option functions:
| Publish Status Option | Function |
| Published | Publishes the post so it is viewable to the public. |
| Draft | The post is listed under the Draft tab and is not viewable to external visitors to your site. All 3 levels of user can comment on the post even if the Comments option is disabled. |
| Request Approval | The post is listed under the Pending Review tab and is not viewable to external visitors to your site. All 3 levels of user can comment on the post even if the Comments option is disabled. |
| Requires Changes | The post is listed under the Requires Changes tab and is not viewable to external visitors to your site. All 3 levels of user can comment on the post even if the Comments option is disabled. |
Note: Understanding user roles is important in getting a complete picture of the publish status options. Click User Roles for additional information.
When you make a selection from the drop-down list, the action button reflects the selection:
| Publish Status Option | Action Button |
| Published | Publish |
| Draft | Save as Draft |
| Request Approval | Save for Review |
| Requires Changes | Request Changes |
After you click the action button, Graffiti assigns the post to the appropriate tab on the Posts page. Graffiti specifies the number of files contained on the Draft, Pending Review, and Requires Changes tabs.
If your user role is Admin or Manager, you can change the publish status option to Publish and publish the content. Refer to Editing Post Content for additional information.
