More Editor Options

We recently updated the WYSIWYG editor in the Graffiti control panel to support browsers other than Internet Explorer and FireFox.  (This update came after the release of beta 1).

Starting in the next release, you will be able to use Safari, Camino, and Opera to write and edit your posts without the need to hand code any HTML.

Here are a couple of screen shots using Camino and Safari.

Camino

Safari

We also updated the editor to use a new file browser which will enable you to upload multiple files just like the file browser utility.

Will one be able to revert back to a plain text box for edits?

Using osx 10.4 + Firefox 2.0.0.11 the posts listed on the main blog listing are truncated. For example the first line of this blog entry shows only:

We recently (after beta 1) updated the WYSIWYG editor in the Graffiti control p

The second line reads:

support browsers other than Internet Explorer and FireFox.

This does not inspire confidence.

@Jeff Bishop

I do not think we will have a plain text option until the first point release or V2.

Thanks,

Scott

Is there an ability to plug in a different editor altogether?

@Jeremiah

We may add that in the future, but for at least V1 we will not support additional editors.

Thanks,

Scott
