I came across this excellent tutorial this morning, "How to: Host a Blog on Windows Home Server With Graffiti" by Terry Walsh.
I do not have my own WHS to test it on, but according to the comments there are others who have validated that this works.
For those with WHS, this should provide a really simple and cheap way to host a personal site (and/or blog). Thanks Terry for the write up.
This is good news. I plan on buying one of these this Christmas.
I recently added this to my WHS, and with absolutely no web development experience, was able to easily create a blog. I cannot believe how simple it was.
Thanks Graffiti!
For those of you who wants a simple setup, some people (including myself) have used shared hosting services like DiscountASP.Net
I shared my experience on my own graffiti: ronaldwidha.net/.../installing-graf
I download it yesterday, deploy it on my WHS. It tooks only 10 second (lightning fast) and voila it runs great. Fortunately for people who upgrade their WHS to use dot net 3.5, need to tweak a bit so Graffiti keep using dotnet 2.0.
I've developed a Graffiti CMS theme that mimicks Windows Home Server's style. It's available here:
