Graffiti Photo Gallery Updated

 Kevin Harder (of the Telligent product team) has updated the Graffiti Photo Gallery Plugin.

 Everyone using the release version of the plugin should upgrade to one of these new versions.

  • Graffiti.Slide.Show version 1.2 has the latest and greatest bits. It uses Slide.Show2 to render the gallery and requires Graffiti 1.1. This version supports storing photos on the web server or in Flickr. I recommend using v1.2 if possible. You can see it in action on my Photos page.
  • For those who can’t run v1.2, I also created Graffiti.Slide.Show version 1.1. This uses the original updated Slide.Show control to render the gallery and requires Graffiti 1.0.1 or above. It supports storing photos on the web server, in Flickr, or in Picasa.

Are there any non-Silverlight based alternatives? I have a few friends who are very strictly opposed to donwloading yet another browser plugin - most definitely one by MS...... sorry, that's just a reality, and serving up some pictures REALLY shouldn't require Silverlight on the client's end, me thinks....

I think you can implement the same using slideshow pro.(http://slideshowpro.net/) which is a flash based photo gallery which takes a XML input

I agree while its great that there is a photo gallery options. Things like this should be developed with open standards not plug-ins. Flash included. I use chrome so Sliverlight isn't even an option for me.

I agree Dave. It would be great to see Graffiti go open source one day.
